Two goals from Craig Lindfield helped Colwyn Bay secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory against Llay Welfare.
The Seagulls, who have now secured their 10th consecutive league win, were made to battle by a determined Llay Welfare.
They suffered an early blow when Llay Welfare's Jonathan Collo took advantage of a ball over the top to lob advancing Rhys Williams, giving Welfare an eighth-minute lead.
Colwyn Bay, however, quickly equalised seven minutes later when a second corner was headed out to Lindfield, who fired a shot into the net from just inside the area.
Jamie Cumming missed a couple of opportunities to put the Seagulls ahead, shooting wide from the edge of the area and later heading over the bar from six yards.
Sol Forde also came close, only to see his shot roll agonisingly wide.
The breakthrough finally came on 59 minutes, when Lindfield volleyed home from a Sam Hart corner for his second goal of the game.
Despite a strong save from home keeper Michael Platt to deny Dan Atkins a third goal, Llay Welfare continued to press, with Forde clearing a goalbound effort to maintain the Seagulls' narrow lead.
