Road Runners claimed three podium places at the gruelling Beaumaris 10k on Sunday, continuing their string of successes.

Four members of the club, Cheryl Frost, Kay Hatton, Len Jackson and Mike Hayton, bravely traversed the hilly terrain, with two landing age category victories.

Veteran runner Ms Frost secured 5th place among females and triumphed in the F50 category with a blistering time of 48 minutes and 41 seconds.

Hot on Ms Frost's heels was Ms Hatton, who captured her F60 age category in 49.57 and finished as the 8th female.

Mr Jackson completed the run as 49th male in 59.04, landing 6th in the M60 group.

Mr Hayton, proving his strength in the M70 category, finished as the 52nd male in 62.13, snatching the 2nd place spot in his age category.

"The first male finisher was Gavin Stuart (Meirionnydd RC) in 33.36, and Andrew Moore (Bangor University) was 2nd in 35.52, with Alun Williams just one place and seven seconds behind Andrew in 35.59," the race update read.

For the ladies, Caroline Lambert (Keswick AC) was the first female finisher in 37.52, with Elin Haf (Eryri Harriers) 2nd in 42.19, and Laura McKenzie (Betsi Runaways) finishing 3rd in 45.48."
