CONWY Borough manager Matthew Jones has gone back to his former club for two more signings ahead of the upcoming season.
The Tangerines’ confirmed the arrivals of Scott McHarrie and Kieran Edwards, who both worked with Jones last season at Llandudno.
They become the latest to sign on at Y Morfa as the club aims to build on their top-six finish in JD Cymru North last season.
McHarrie is the more experienced of the two and played a leading role at Maesdu Park last season. Jones is clearly relishing the prospect of working with the player again.
He said: “Once again I am delighted to have the chance to work with Scott. I’ve known Scott since he was a junior player and over the last two seasons in senior football I have really seen him develop and become a very good player.
“I am really looking forward to working with Scott again and seeing him once again kick on and improve.
“Scott will be a strong addition to the group both on and off the field and matches the profile of player we are looking to bring to Y Morfa.”
Edwards is a highly touted young prospect that has impressed the Borough coaching staff considerably during their initial training sessions under social distancing rules.
He demonstrated tremendous progress as part of the Tudno senior squad last season and promises to be another welcome addition to a squad that could mount a top-four push next term.
“I am very pleased to be bringing Kieran in and have the chance to work with him again,” added Jones.
“He developed really well last year and has looked very good so far this pre-season.”
