CONWY Borough have made a notable addition to their squad in the form of Conor Davies.
The Tangerines’ managed to secure the services of the former Glan Conwy standout for their upcoming JD Cymru North campaign, which will be the first under the stewardship of new manager Matthew Jones.
Davies was in tremendous for a Glan side that emerged as one of the surprise packages in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One, but with the club dropping down to the NWCFA Tier 4 (East) Premier Division, the player has decided on a new challenge elsewhere.
One memorable highlight from Davies last season was his outstanding performance in a 6-1 rout over Llanberis, where he netted no fewer than five times.
Jones, said: “I am really pleased to have secured the signing of Conor from Glan Conwy.
“Conor is motivated to prove himself at Tier 2 level and having had a couple of sessions with him now, I have no doubt he will be able to do that.
“Once again he is a player that brings the right attributes both on and off the pitch and has already settled in really quickly and I look forward to seeing how he gets on.”
Borough also confirmed the appointment of Sian Bethel as the team’s new physio, with the popular figure having previously worked with Jones before during their time at Llandudno.
“I am delighted that Sian will be following us over from Llandundo and joining the backroom team,” added the boss.
“Sian is superb at injury prevention, diagnosis and treatment and this appointment will go a long way to ensuring our players are well looked after.”
