LLANRWST United have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of prolific youngster Benn Lundstram.
The forward joins the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side from newly formed Bangor 1876 and will look to fill the void left by third-tier top score Callum Parry following his high-profile move to Colwyn Bay.
Lundstram came through the Academy system at Bangor City and made a considerable impression during his time with the cub, both at U19 level and with the senior set-up in the JD Cymru North.
He recently played a key role for Penmaenmawr Phoenix in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two, where he played with father Mike after he joined midway through the season.
After turning down offers from Llangefni Town and Denbigh Town in favour of a move to Bangor 1876, the versatile player had the honour of scoring their first ever goal during their pre-season friendly at FC United of Manchester and hit the target in three different competitions for the club this term.
Lundstram found the target in the Gwynedd League, FAW Trophy and the North Wales Coast Football Association Cup, and his final goal for Mel Jones’ men came in their emphatic 13-2 win over Bontnewydd on December 28.
A Bangor 1876 spokesman, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to Benn on behalf of Bangor 1876’s coaching staff, players and fans.
“Thank you to Benn for representing Bangor 1876 with such pride and determination this season, and best of luck at Llanrwst.”
