WHILE Ruthin are on their travels this weekend, there's still a big clash lined up for Cae Ddol.
RGC1404 will kick-off their Principality Premiership season against Neath on Saturday.
Due the fact RGC’s regular home Stadiwm Zip World is unavailable, the game is being played at Cae Ddol and it will be an opportunity to kickstart the season backed by the 'home' North Wales support.
Head coach Mark Jones is looking forward to getting his side back on the field.
He said: “RGC can’t succeed, on and off the field, without the support from the North Wales clubs and we thank Ruthin for allowing us to play the game there.
"We played one of our pre-season games at Denbigh and I know the boys enjoyed the experience, so Saturday will be another opportunity to give our supporters something to cheer about.”
Sion Jones, general manager for the North Wales development region and RGC, added: “The support we have received from Clwb Rygbi Rhuthun has been excellent.
"Taking Premiership rugby and RGC back into our North Wales clubs and communities has been a positive move enabling us to connect and engage with more new audiences and supporters.
"I’m confident our supporters will... bring their voices to Cae Ddol on Saturday!”
Kick-off is at 2.30pm and tickets are £5, with U-16s admitted free.
Season tickets will be valid.
As well as the Cae Ddol car park, parking will also be available at Ruthin Tennis Club, opposite the ground.
