An international footballer has walked out of pre-season training to join the cast of Love Island.
FC Halifax Town forward, Jamie Allen, has been revealed as one of four new bombshells to be joining the ITV dating show.
The 27-year-old started his career at Fleetwood Town and has been playing for National League Halifax Town since 2019.
The striker also represents Montserrat internationally.
His club confirmed the striker has left the club’s pre-season camp, adding “the matter will be reviewed on his return”.
The club said in a shirt statement: “Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.
“The matter will be reviewed on his return.”
