Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho. Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho it's off to panto-land or Rhyl Pavilion Theatre we go for Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.
Heading this fantastically fun and frenetic Martin Dodd and UK Production pantomime is Sue Holderness, Marlene from legendary British sitcom Only Fools and Horses, as the wonderfully wicked Wicked Queen.
Channelling former Prime Minister Theresa May and another comedy icon Birds of a Feather nightmare neighbour Dorien Green, Holderness, who boasts a fantastic collection of withering put-downs and even gets to reference Del Boy's famous Nag's Head tumble in this show, is just fantastic.
Her pursuit of Prince Frederick of Flintshire, portrayed by the tremendous Aidan Banyard, and her mirrorball-lit seduction scene is among many stand-out moments.
Laura Loutit is charming as Snow White and her performance of the panto's Disney soundtrack including 'I'm Wishing' and Some Day My Prince Will Come' is simply splendid.
Her seven strong support network, among them North Walian James Lusted, proved a winner with younger members of the audience.
Watch out for James in the hilarious '12 Days of Christmas' scene featuring this reviewer's favourites Charles Burden as Nurse Dolly, whose outrageous costumes and high camp comedy will guarantee belly laughs particularly her adult-themed Rhyl FC references.
The star of the show for me is Andrew Agnew. The former Balamory star as Muddles is given the task of driving the show and dictating its pace, which he effortlessly achieves.
His charm, silly jokes including 'Which Spice Girl can hold the most petrol?.....Geri can; very clever command of wordplay urging Snow White to hollow her fart (Follow her Heart) plus exhausting physical comedy which sees him repeatedly retrieve toilet rolls from the audience accompanied by the Benny Hill theme, makes him my star performer.
Beautiful sets and lighting and accomplished musical direction with superb arrangements of Disney classics and contemporary songs by Lewis Capaldi (Someone You Loved) and Billie Eilish (Bad Guy), make Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Rhyl's Pavilion a must-see for fans of panto and family friendly theatre.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is at the Pavilion Theatre Rhyl until December 31. For tickets visit www.rhylpavilion.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01745 33 00 00
