The 2024 Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Women began today featuring the best domestic riders against international competition.
Departing from Welshpool’s Broad Street, racers have embarked on a daring first day with 2,276m of climbing.
The opener also presents one sprint and two challenging Queen of the Mountains segments before concluding on Llandudno’s promenade.
The riders are expected to reach Llandudno at around 3.10pm.
The second stage starts and finishes in Wrexham’s city centre tomorrow.
It will pass through Denbighshire, West Cheshire and Chester.
The four-day display of cycling endurance and prowess continues through the country until June 9.
