POSTS at Llandudno Rugby Club have been replaced after vandalism was thought to be likely to cost a four-figure sum to repair.
The posts on one of the pitches at the club’s grounds on Bodnant Road were believed to have been knocked over on Tuesday, January 9.
Llandudno Pier, one of the club’s sponsors, has provided new posts pads and flags for it to use.

Members of the club got together to repair and erect the damaged posts, and representatives from the pier bought new pads and flag posts for both of its pitches.
A statement from Llandudno Rugby Club said: “A massive thank you to our sponsor, Llandudno Pier for attending the game today (on February 17).
“A big massive thank you for your generosity, providing us with the new posts and flags. From all here at Llandudno Rugby Club, we are all very grateful.”
North Wales Police was contacted about the incident, but given the club does not have closed circuit television (CCTV) in operation on its premises, identifying a suspect proved difficult.
Paul Williams, general manager of Llandudno Pier, added: “Adam Williams and family along with Llandudno Pier are proud to continue their support of Llandudno Rugby Club.
“We have a great partnership with the club and the commitment they show in developing and nurturing the local youth teams is simply amazing.
“This weekend, we were able supply the club with set sets of brand new post pads, flags and poles for seasons to come along with the kit sponsorship.
“We look forward to supporting Llandudno Rugby Club and their growth for years to come.”
