NORTH Wales Road Running Club (NWRRC) members maintained their recent top form and returned in numbers to the Conwy parkrun, where they packed well and recorded nine podium places, including one event win, four age category wins, four second placings, and one third.
A team of 14 athletes also included talented newcomer William Williams, who finished seventh overall on his debut and third in his MV45-49 age group, with a great new personal best of 19 minutes and 17 seconds.
The parkrun was won by Martin Green, who again won his MV45-49 category in a superb time of 17.16. Richard Eccles ran well and finished fifth, and won his MV55-59 group in 18.52.
It then proved a close encounter, with just a few seconds separating the next three club runners, including John Dalzell in 16th in 21.03, and Steve Roberts just two seconds adrift and second in his MV55-59 age category (17th overall in 21.05), while Carla Green was just another second behind in 21.06
But Carla did manage to win her VW50-54 category, and finished as the second female athlete.

Rachel celebrated a new parkrun personal best and her best 5k time for about three years, finishing 43rd overall; the 13th female runner, and third in her VW40-44 age category in 29.33.
