THE title race has become an even more thrilling one after leaders Airbus' perfect start was ended by defeat away to third-placed Colwyn Bay.
Michael Wilde's Seagulls moved to within four points of the front-runners on the back of a thrilling 6-3 success, with former Airbus striker Craig Lindfield grabbing a hat-trick.
Jay Owen, Lloyd Marsh-Hughes and Gwion Dafydd were the other Bay scorers in front of a crowd on 772 at the 4 Cross Arena.
Bay became the first side to take points off Airbus in the JD Cymru North this season.
They lost a two goal lead at one stage, but hit back superbly with three goals in the last 20 minutes to sweep Airbus away.
Manager Mark Allen told the Airbus website: "Of course we are very disappointed to lose the game and there are certain things we’ve spoken about after the game that weren’t good enough and will address this week.
"However we have to learn from this, put things right and that not let this one blip deter us from our targets for the season.
"It was a very positive run of results for the team, which is testimony to everyone of them for the hard work and buy in they’ve had and the hard work of the staff. But it’s finished, we move on and put things right."
A dramatic injury time strike ensured Buckley Town picked up a point from their 3-3 draw at home to Llandudno.
Rhys Edwards' effort made sure of a point for Asa Hamilton's charges, with all of the goals coming in a hectic second half.
Connor Littler's 55th minute opener was cancelled out by Mark Cadwallader three minutes later. Adam Smith regained the lead for the hosts within a minute, however strikes from Adam Stephens and Harvey Bennett turned things in favour of Llandudno prior to Edwards' late, late goal.
Flint Mountain returned to winning ways with their 5-1 verdict at Prestatyn Town, who slipped to the foot of the standings.
Andy Brown netted twice for Aden Shannon's side, with Rob Hughes, Jack Sconce and Jack Parry also on the scoresheet.
Gregory Hall pulled one back for the Seasiders.
