COLWYN Bay Football Club has launched a new women’s team.
Llysfaen Lionesses has joined to become part of the club and will now be known as Colwyn Bay Ladies FC.
The Lionesses were formed in February 2018 and have played in the North Wales Ladies Recreational Football League.

The team wore the claret and sky blue shirts of Colwyn Bay and played Eglwysbach in a friendly during Sunday (August 25)’s family fun day at the 4 Crosses Construction Arena.
It marks the return of a women’s team to Colwyn Bay FC - Bay Ladies won back to back league and cup doubles in the North Wales Football League in 2006 and 2007.
They also reached the Welsh Cup semi-final in 2007, losing to eventual winners Cardiff City Ladies.
