COLWYN Bay FC are actively seeking new investment, with the club looking to build on the progress made on and off the pitch in the past few years.

The club have this week launched a new marketing drive – “Be part of our journey” – in a bid to attract investment.

“We are on the lookout for opportunities to expand and flourish, and both football enthusiasts and enthusiastic investors can play a role in shaping Colwyn Bay FC's bright future,” the club said in a statement.

The Seagulls, formed in 1881, and are among the most prominent clubs in Welsh football and last season played in the top-flight for the first time in their history.

“Relegation at the end of the season was disappointing but we feel the experience of playing in the Cymru Premier will hold us in good stead moving forward,” club director Brian Madden said.

“The club has progressed so much on and off the pitch since we returned to the Welsh system five years ago.

“We’ve consistently been the best supported club in Welsh domestic football over the past three years and we have a fantastic fanbase.

“The facilities at the 4 Crosses Construction Arena are now among the best in Welsh football and this has been recognised by us being chosen as one of the venues for the UEFA Under-19 men's finals in 2026.

“It’s an exciting time, especially with the proposed changes for the Cymru Premier, and we feel we have the foundations in place for the club to grow and grow.

“We want to create more unforgettable moments for our incredible fans and the wider community.

"The community is very much at the heart of what we do and we have exciting plans to expand our work in the community."

The Football Association of Wales recently announced ambitious plans for their flagship JD Cymru Premier, with the league set to expand from the current 12 teams.

Other plans announced include initiatives towards boosting the league’s competitiveness, administration, visibility, community involvement and commercial success.
