A NORTH Wales singer-songwriter is set to perform in Prestatyn in support of a top folk band.

Eve Goodman, who writes and performs in both Welsh and English, will take the stage at Prestatyn Constitutional Club on Friday, November 29, as part of a folk music evening organised by Llais Prestatyn.

Growing up in North Wales, Goodman has always had a deep connection to music.

She describes her craft as a way to express her inner emotions, saying: "Music is like a portal to my emotions, a way of transmuting and transcribing them."

Her style is influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, and her songs are inspired by nature.

It is a personal reflection on grief and loss, tracking the healing journey towards finding hope and joy again.

She has also recently been involved in a year-long study of ritual singing and vocal improvisation, and has performed internationally.

Additionally, Goodman was featured on Bryn Terfel’s new album ‘Sea Songs’ with two duets in both Welsh and Breton.

The folk music night will also feature headliners the Al Lewis Band.

The doors will open at 7.30pm, with the performances starting at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at £10.
