A new priest is set to be licensed for the Conwy Valley.
Tomorrow (Sunday, November 24), the Reverend Huw Bryant will be licensed by the Bishop of St Asaph, the Right Reverend Gregory Cameron, at St Grwst's Church, Llanrwst.
Rev Bryant will take on pastoral responsibility for Llanrwst, Glan Conwy, and Eglwysbach, within the Aberconwy Mission Area.
Having served the Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area as a leader for the past four and a half years, Rev Bryant has expressed his enthusiasm for the new role.
He said: "I am very much looking forward to moving to the Conwy Valley and joining in the exciting things that are happening across the Aberconwy Mission Area that seek to grow faith, bring hope, and demonstrate love in its communities."
He was ordained in 2013, having served the Llŷn Peninsula and Bro Eifionydd in the Diocese of Bangor before his time in Dyffryn Clwyd.
Before he was ordained, Rev Bryant was a forester and did work for the Forestry Commission in Llanrwst.
Commenting on Rev'd Bryant's new role, Bishop Cameron said: "Huw brings a wealth of talent, and as a natural Welsh speaker he should be a good fit for ministry in Llanrwst.
"With a newly reordered church in Llanrwst, Huw will be able to build on his predecessor Sarah's ministry in proclaiming the love of God."
The Aberconwy Mission Area is part of the Diocese of St Asaph within the Church of Wales.
