A SEAFRONT hotel in Llandudno will undergo an extension which will see the creation of an additional dining room and bar area.
Hotel No 5, on the promenade, will see a rear extension for an extra dining room and bar area with an atrium and a new escape staircase.
Owner Hayley Coughlin’s proposal has been approved by the council, and the work will encompass:
- Removal of existing flat roof construction from existing ground floor infill extension for new infill flat roof extension on top with atrium roof light
- Removal of an internal fire exit door to allow access into the extension
- New rear replacement galvanised steel fire escape staircase
A heritage impact statement, by Matthew Jones Architects, said the investments were being made to challenge in what is a “very competitive industry”.
It continued: “The work will have little to no impact on the character of this immediate area of Craig y Don and the wider context, but will address the issues faced by the property owners.
