A PROMINENT Betws-y-Coed undergoing a full-scale revamp will welcome back guests from early next year.

The Swallow Falls Inn, formerly The Swallow Falls Hotel, will re-open its doors for the first time in three years on Friday, February 28.

It is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment by its new Newcastle-based owners The Inn Collection Group.

Since beginning in February 2024, works undertaken so far include the forming of new bedrooms in the main building, old Youth Hostel Association building and the former tavern.

The Swallow Falls Inn’s new look will comprise 38 contemporary-styled bedrooms, offering a mix of twin, double and family rooms, each with dressing tables, ensuite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and complimentary WiFi.

Midweek bed and breakfast breaks will be available from just £89 during March, while weekend getaways will be available from £145, both based on two sharing.

For the first month, The Inn Collection group’s popular Winter Breaks promotion will also be live, making one-night dinner bed and breakfast stays for two available from just £99.

Opening later in the spring, The Swallow Falls Inn will also retain its campsite, with 30 pitches, while three renovated camping “pods” will provide a further choice of accommodation type.

The hotel’s pub will be open all day, every day and will serve visitors and members of the public.

The Inn Collection Group’s rooms director, Kate Bentley, said: “We are hugely excited to see The Swallow Falls Inn’s refurbishment progressing and are delighted to have opened bookings for our newest inn.

“We know that there is a lot of interest in The Swallow Falls Inn and people are eager to see it reopen, so we’re delighted to have opened bookings for its first stays.

“The renovation is creating a gorgeous venue in one of the most beautiful parts of Wales and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests in time for spring and offer our award-winning style of hospitality in Eryri national park.

“There is still work to do before we can start showing off the individual charm and character of The Swallow Falls Inn, but we’re sure our look and style are going to be enjoyed by customers in a new area of operation for us.”

The site was acquired by The Inn Collection Group in November 2021.

Originally built in the 19th century, the renovation of The Swallow Falls Inn is being overseen by Manchester-based Bridgewater Group, the project’s main contractor.
