A NORTH Wales town hotel has received national recognition, being named in the Top 10 for best autumn breaks for under £200 in the UK.
The Bridge End in Llangollen is delighted to have made national news following a huge transformation. Owned by Country Village Inns, the venue reopened last month following a £1.5 million refurbishment of its rooms, bar and function room.
The popular venue is thrilled to confirm it was recently been named one of the top 10 best new British hotels for an autumn break under £200 by the Telegraph newspaper.
Managing Director of Country Village Inns Matt Cooper said: "I’m ecstatic to learn the news our hotel has been chosen in the top 10 of the country.
"It shows the dedication and hard work our team do every day pays off. The refurbishment carried out by Robinsons Brewery has certainly changed the future outlook of the venue."
Situated on Mill Street overlooking the River Dee and the Llangollen and Corwen steam railway, the hotel and restaurant is the perfect spot for a delicious meal, sociable drink or cosy overnight stay.
Sam Rowlands MS has also shared his joy over the news, stating: “Everyone knows how passionate I am about tourism in North Wales and hearing about accolades like this just enhances the importance of this sector in my region.
“I have said many times that Llangollen is a lovely part of North Wales and I am delighted to see this newly refurbished hotel on the list and congratulations must go to everyone involved in this investment.
“It is great to see the Bridge End Hotel being named along with places in Brighton, Cornwall and Edinburgh and fantastic news for North Wales and the tourism industry.
“The town is an extremely popular tourist destination and as a very keen supporter of attracting visitors to this lovely part of the world it is good to see North Wales once again being put very firmly on the tourist map.”
The pub and hotel is hugely popular with locals and tourists, offering brilliant menu deals throughout the week.
The original 500-year-old building is packed with character, and has various rooms available for reasonable prices, as confirmed by The Telegraph.
The Bridge End has also recently launched a newly-designed website making booking easier to navigate for customers. Website reviews describe their stay as "welcoming" and in a "great location."
