A public footpath in Capel Curig will be closed for six months over safety concerns.
The closure affects a section of public footpath 26, starting from the A5 at Ty Hyll, running along the northern side of the Afon Llugwy to a forest track.
The alternative route provided will take pedestrians from Ty Hyll to Nant y Bwlch yr Haearn Road, north of The Towers Outdoor Pursuits Centre, and along a forest track.
The closure comes into effect on November 6.
Conwy County Borough Council stated that the order is necessary due to the 'likelihood of danger to the public' from an unstable highway retaining wall.
The council anticipates the footpath will be closed for 'a maximum period' of six months.
