A HALL and spa near Llandudno has retained a prestigious award which recognises culinary excellence.

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa, close to The Royal Welsh Way near Llandudno, received the coveted AA Three Rosette Award for another year.

Restaurants with three AA Rosettes are considered outstanding and are a destination for diners with refined tastes.

The team at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa is lead by head chef Abdalla El Shershaby, and use produce grown in the estate’s vast gardens and other locally-sourced ingredients.

A spokesperson for Bodysgallen Hall & Spa said: “We are proud to be retaining the coveted AA 3 Rosette award for culinary excellence.

The hall’s dining room overlooks the gardens and is described as the “perfect setting” for enjoying the “imaginative” menus provided.

Prices at Bodysgallen range from £32.50 (Sunday luncheon) to £59 (dinner).

The Grade I listed hall dates back to the 17th century, and has been skilfully restored by Historic House Hotels Limited since 1980 before being given to the National Trust in 2008.

With sprawling gardens, a hotel complex, and a luxurious spa, the hotel consistently ranks highly in the region.
