A LONG stretch of a main Conwy road was closed for several hours following a crash.
At around 10.30am, North Wales Police said the A543 was closed from Pentrefoelas to the Brenig junction (B4501) due to a road traffic collision.
A spokesperson said: "Emergency services are currently dealing - please avoid the area and consider alternative routes for your travels."
Shortly before 5pm, police confirmed the crash has been cleared and the road has reopened.
