MOTORISTS have been warned to “allow for a short delay” at three Llandudno roundabouts whose green spaces will be replanted later this month.
Conwy County Borough Council, thanks to funding from Welsh Government's Local Places for Nature Programme, will be replanting with pollinator-friendly perennial plants at the following roundabouts:
- Monday, October 14 - A470 Wormhout Way, Queens Road/Conway Road
- Monday, October 21 - A470 Royal Welsh Way, Narrow Lane
- Monday, October 21 and 28 - Penrhyn Bay
A council spokesperson added: “Please allow for a short delay at these roundabouts if you are travelling on these days.
“Earlier this year, we cleared very large non-native cotoneaster plants from roundabouts on A470 Royal Welsh Way and at Penrhyn Bay.
“These plants posed a threat to our native wild plants by spreading quickly on rare habitats such as the limestone grasslands on the Little Orme and Great Orme.”
