A family show promises to bring magic, comedy, and adventure to Theatr Colwyn this Halloween.

‘The Prisoner of Alakazam’ is the new show from Magic Light Productions, and it will be performed at the theatre on October 30 and 31.

The show will feature a blend of illusions, comedy, puppetry, dance, and music.

This year's production features choreography by Ellie Perrin and the Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts.

Stuart Loughland, producer and director, said: "We can’t wait to return to Theatr Colwyn with our Halloween show this season, it’s going to be so much fun.

"It also gets us very excited for panto season, which, of course, is just around the corner.

"This year it’s Pinocchio, and we have lots of surprises in store in our brand new script."

The show will feature an all-local cast, with Stuart Loughland and Dean Raymond as schoolboys who find themselves at the wrong magic school.

They are joined by Kazia Cannon and Steve Bloor, who has played the comic part in the theatre's pantomimes for the last 14 years.

As part of the family fun, kids are encouraged to dress up in their "spookiest costumes."
