STAFF at a holiday park in Towyn are celebrating achieving the highest possible rating following an assessment from Visit Wales, retaining its five-star accreditation from the last inspection in 2022.
With strict criteria, the “excellent” rating was awarded to Ty Mawr Holiday Park based on its quality, consistency, and facilities.
This year, Parkdean Resorts, which owns Ty Mawr, invested almost £250,000 into upgrading accommodation at the park.
Ty Mawr offers accommodation including caravans, lodges, and camping pitches, along with activities such as high ropes, bungee trampolines, adventure golf, hoverboards, virtual reality games, and an indoor swimming pool.
This winter, the park will also host Parkdean Resorts’ Winter Wonderland breaks for the first time, with a skating rink, seasonal concerts and productions, and the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer.
The Visit Wales accreditation follows Ty Mawr securing a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for the first time in early 2024.
Barrie Robinson, operations director at Parkdean Resorts, said: “We’re always working hard to ensure that guests enjoy unforgettable holidays at our 66 parks across the UK, and the team at Ty Mawr consistently goes above and beyond to deliver a fantastic customer experience.
“It’s wonderful to receive such glowing feedback from Visit Wales, and we’re extremely proud, both of our back-to-back five-star accreditations and the fantastic team who made it possible.”
