CONSTRUCTION of the KIA and Honda car showroom in Llandudno is well underway, almost three years after plans were first submitted.
The showroom is being built on the site of the former Argyll Road Health Clinic.
The clinic, which was used as a vaccination centre during the pandemic, was demolished more than two years ago.
Plans were submitted by Mostyn Estates in November 2021 to develop a car showroom on the site, which would house Honda and Kia brands.

However, despite Llandudno Town Council supporting the application, concerns were raised by both Natural Resources Wales and HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
The former had expressed concern at its location within a flood zone, while the former wrote to the council fearing the development could cause noise, dust, and vibrations affecting the nearby Magistrates' Court’s day-to-day operations.
But the plans were given the green light, with conditions relating to when work was undertaken (during the week) and the preservation of trees.
