Conwy County Borough Council has issued a temporary prohibition of through traffic on the A5 to Penmachno Road Penmachno from the junction of the A5 to Penmachno.
The closure in Conwy near Betws-y-Coed starts on September 12, 2024, for a maximum period of 21 weeks.
The diversion route will be via the A5 to the B4407, to Hafod Ifan to Pont Eidda Road, and then back on the A5 to Penmachno Road.

The closure is to facilitate works by Scottish Power.
While most roadway works will be done under traffic lights, road closure may be required at times.
The road will be closed when the traffic sign 7010.4 is displayed on site.
