THE ORGANISERS of the cancelled Pine Fest in Llandudno have apologised to ticketholders for the delay in getting their refunds.
The festival, in its first year, was set to take place at Bodafon Farm on August 30 and 31.
It had promised a line-up including Scouting for Girls, Red Rum Club and The Sherlocks.
But the event was cancelled just weeks before it was due to take place, with organisers saying they were "devastated" to make the sudden decision.
This left ticketholders in a state of limbo, with those who has bought tickets told they would be contacted regarding refunds in "the next week".
This was also delayed, with one ticketholder telling the Pioneer they had received no reply to queries about a refund, which they labelled "disgusting".
Organisers have now begun refunds, with a statement from last week apologising for the delay in returning money.
This was with the help of loans and support from sponsors, the statement said.
A Pine Fest spokesperson said: "We are pleased to confirm the beginning of processing refunds will begin early next week and we kindly ask for your continued patience as we work through this.
"We apologise for the delay in processing your refunds, we understand your frustration and assure you that this was never our intention.
"The last 10 days have been extremely difficult but we are nearly there, with the help of loans and massive support from key sponsors.
"We hope that this money can be spent on enjoying your final parties of summer that you were once promised by us."
