AN ACCIDENTAL fire broke out at a pharmacy in Rhos-on-Sea last night (August 21).
This was at Rowlands Pharmacy, on Rhos Road, with four fire crews attending at about 7.30pm yesterday.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “It was an accidental fire believed to have been caused by an electrical fault, resulting in 25 per cent fire damage and 95 per cent heat damage.”
A Rowlands Pharmacy spokesperson added: "We regret to confirm that there was a fire at our Rowlands Pharmacy in Rhos-on-Sea yesterday evening.
"Thankfully, all our colleagues and the residents of the flats above are safe.
"The fire has caused considerable damage, and we are working quickly to provide a temporary solution to support our patients whilst we make the necessary repairs to the site.
"In the meantime, we are advising patients to visit our pharmacy in Deganwy, where our team is currently based.
"We are in close contact with the health board and local surgeries to ensure that our patients continue to receive their prescriptions and medicines without interruption.
"We appreciate the ongoing support from the community as we work through this challenging situation."
