Christmas decorations have been spotted in Home Bargains stores up and down the country, including North Wales..
As children are still on their summer holidays, some readers feel it's too soon for Christmas decor.
Social media users have shared mixed reactions to the discovery.
Chris V Evans criticized the early arrival of the festive products, arguing that other holidays should be celebrated first.
He said: "Ludicrous!
"Let’s get Halloween and Bonfire night out of the way first!
"The kids are still on summer holidays!"
Jo Dale shared a similar viewpoint: "No wonder we get fed up of Christmas before it's even started."
The feeling of frustration was echoed by Rhiannon Fennell, who wrote: "Just been in there.
"It is disgusting filling the shelves with all this junk in August."
However, some residents had a more practical outlook.
Catherine Leary pointed out that people being paid monthly means that there are only four more pay days before Christmas.
She said: "With people being paid 'monthly' that is only 4 more paydays.
"Makes sense to ''shop' early and not wait till the 'last' minute to be 'greeted' with empty shelves."
Barbara Redmond was unimpressed to see similar patterns in Rhyl, saying: "Oh no!!!
"In Rhyl store too.
"Fed up already."
Danni Francis added: "It’s not even Autumn yet this is getting ridiculous now every year it seems to come out earlier.
"It takes the magic of Christmas away as you see it for too long."
Voicing concern about the financial pressures families face, Katrina Tiernan stressed: "This is ridiculous!!
"Family's cant afford to feed their kids plus the added worry of uniforms etc!!
"Last thing they want shoving in their faces is b****y Christmas."
On the other side of the argument, Carolyne Fowler stated: "Never too soon, even better if we could get rid of Halloween stuff and make it all Christmas."
Nevertheless, others like Pamela Higham and Mandy Murphy feel it is "way, way too early" and "absolutely too soon" respectively.
