A FABULOUS opportunity has arisen for local talent to audition for pantomime at home this Christmas!

Venue Cymru, along with Pantomime Producers Imagine Theatre will hold Open Auditions on Wednesday, September 4, as they seek out their leading lady.

Jack and the Beanstalk will run at Venue Cymru this Christmas from 7-29 December, and the successful performer will perform alongside the already announced stage and screen star Jennifer Ellison, CBeebies and TV Presenter Ben Cajee and returning favourite funny man John Evans.

A venue spokesperson said: "It’s so common for auditions for these roles to take place in London, and it’s not always practical for the talent we know our local area has to get there, and so we’ve brought the auditions to us for this role."

Auditions for the role will involve a group movement call, followed by a script and singing audition for those asked to stay after the movement call.

Those who intend on auditioning are asked to submit a headshot and CV ahead of time to: marketing@venuecymru.co.uk

They will then need to bring, a printed copy of your CV and headshot that you are happy to leave with the auditioning panel. Comfortable shoes and dance wear for the movement call and sheet music, with a variety of styles including pop and musical theatre.

The essential criteria is that the person is female identifying, aged between 19 – 35 and live/will be located within 45 minutes’ drive time of Llandudno.

A Welsh speaker would also be highly advantageous.

This will be a professional paid contract.
