AN AUTHOR based in Colwyn Bay will have his fourth published book released later this month.

Christopher Kerr, who made a name for himself with his World War II novel, The Barbarossa Secret, is no stranger to controversy.

His latest book, Bullion, is a fast-paced World War II drama exploring what happened to a fortune in gold, looted by the Nazis, which disappeared.

The story is packed with disturbing revelations, implicating some of the most respected financial institutions, with present-day implications.

The book traces how the Nazis made secretive banking arrangements during the war, following this with meticulous post-war planning to ensure the survival of their creed.

Post-war infiltration at the highest level is uncovered in an investigation which reveals staggering levels of corruption and places those involved at risk.

Violence erupts in London and Hamburg as competing interests clash, whilst the authorities struggle to conceal the truth.

Bullion will be released on Saturday, August 17.

Christopher said: "Bullion is my most challenging work to date.

“I was not prepared for what I discovered, and the depths to which many sank in the pursuance of greed, not least the tacit involvement of many revered bodies in what is an appalling scandal.

“This, of course, is made more disturbing by the links to the horrors of the Holocaust, in what is the greatest financial scandal in history."

Christopher added that Bullion has been forensically researched, but is not a historical textbook.

His hope is that readers find the book both gripping, and entertaining, while raising areas of genuine conjecture.
