Conwy County Borough Council has ordered a traffic restriction on Eirias Road, Colwyn Bay, from August 12.
The order, to facilitate Scottish Power's works, bars vehicles from proceeding along Eirias Road, between Dingle Hill to Abergele Road junctions.
Traffic will be diverted down Dingle Hill onto Abergele Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian and emergency access will still be maintained.
The road will be inaccessible to vehicles for a period of up to seven days.
