THE FOOD hygiene rating for a takeaway in Llandudno is "under review", the council has said.

Topolino Ben's Pizzeria, at 155 Upper Mostyn Street, is currently under review following an inspection on June 13.

It was reported that the business had been given a food hygiene rating of 0, meaning urgent improvement is necessary at the business.

However, the council has denied these reports, saying the business' rating will be announced "in due course".

A spokesperson for Conwy County Borough Council said: "The current rating for the business in question is under review.  

"The rating will be displayed on the food hygiene rating system website in due course.  

"I am unable to confirm the rating at this point."

The takeaway provides a range of food options, with a variety of Italian dishes and kebab options.

Topolino Ben's has a 3.7 rating on Google Reviews, based on 19 reviews.

The most recent review stated it was "without fail the best food", while the previous review said their experience was a "waste of money" and "never to return".
