ARMED police have been called to an incident at a residential property in a Conwy village this afternoon (July 17).
There is currently a significant police presence at a the property, in Dwygyfylchi.
A police cordon has also been put in place, while roads have been closed.
North Wales Police said at 4.36pm: "There is currently a significant police presence at a residential property in Dwygyfylchi.
"Armed officers are at the scene, which is contained.
"Road closures and a police cordon are in place in order to maintain public safety.
"We appreciate your patience whilst we deal with this ongoing incident.
"Further updates will be issued in due course."
At 7.45pm, a North Wales Police spokesperson updated on the incident. They said: "Officers continue to contain the scene of an ongoing incident at a residential property in Dwygyfylchi.
"A police cordon and road closures remain in place to maintain public safety.
"We apologise for the disruption this is causing to the local community and are grateful for your patience whilst we resolve this matter."
An INRIX traffic update added: "Ysguborwen Road, Dwygyfylchi, is closed both ways.
"(There is) slow traffic due to a police incident between Gogarth Avenue and Old Mill Road."
