Community support officer Naomi Hill, of North Wales Police, said: “Please be aware that in recent weeks, a number of empty properties undergoing work/renovations have been targeted by thieves, and tools stolen from within.

“Don't let your property be an easy target.

“Encourage contactors to remove valuable tools from properties overnight, or at least not have them on display.

“Consider use of doorbell cameras, security lighting, and ask neighbours to be vigilant if your property is unoccupied.

“Please report any suspicious activity/vehicles in the area to police via 101.”
