AN OVERNIGHT contraflow system will be in place at the Conwy Tunnel (eastbound) on the A55 while maintenance works are carried out.
The works were due to start last night (July 15) but were put off due to adverse weather conditions.
Road closures between junctions 17 and 18 on the A55 (Conwy Morfa to Llandudno Junction) will be set up to remove the contraflow.

The westbound carriageway will be closed tonight.
The contraflow will start from tonight until July 27, and be in effect between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
The purpose of the maintenance works is to check the tunnel’s safety systems are still fit for purpose.
