A bed and breakfast in Llandudno has been named the best in Wales at the recent AA B&B Awards 2024.

Bryn Derwen - located at 34 Abbey Road (LL30 2EE) - was one of three Welsh establishments recognised in the national awards claiming the AA Bed and Breakfast of the Year title for Wales.

Introducing the awards, AA said: "The AA B&B awards celebrate the very best of Britain's B&Bs.

"Congratulations to all of the winners on their fantastic achievements."

Bryn Derwen has a five-star official rating on AA and the inspector said customers can expect a "comfortable period B&B, full of character, with many thoughtful extras" when they stay.

The AA inspector continued: "Located in a quiet area of Llandudno, Bryn Derwen is just a short walk from the main shopping area and local restaurants.

"A friendly welcome is assured at this impressive Victorian house, which retains many original features such as tiled floors and fine stained-glass windows.

"Décor and furnishings highlight the historic charm of the property, which is most apparent in the sumptuous lounges and attractive dining room.

"A choice of individually styled bedrooms is offered, and all are equipped with many thoughtful extras."

Visitors to Bryn Derwen seem to agree with the high praise of the Llandudno-based B&B with it boasting a five out of five rating from 256 reviews on Tripadvisor.
