A CHAIN which owns the Grand Hotel in Llandudno has been voted the worst in the UK for the 11th consecutive year.
Britannia Hotels was ranked lowest by consumer choice group Which?, whose annual list showed it received a customer satisfaction score of 48 per cent, down eight per cent from 56 two years ago.
The chain was rated two-out-of-five stars for breakfast, customer service, bed comfort, cleanliness, value for money and communal areas and décor.
Bathrooms, bedrooms and Wi-Fi at their sites were scored one-out-of-five stars.

The Grand Hotel is rated the worst out of 51 large hotels in Llandudno on TripAdvisor, with more than 700 ‘terrible’ reviews and a further 456 reviewing it as 'poor'.
The chain also owned the now-closed Pontins site in Prestatyn, which was also poorly rated before it shut.
The latest research was based on almost 4,500 hotel stays, with members of the public invited to rate their experiences at 35 chains according to ten key categories.
Britannia Hotels was approached for comment.
