A WOMAN has died following a crash in Colwyn Bay earlier this week.
Shortly after 1pm on July 3, police received a call reporting a one-vehicle crash on Conway Road, in the West End area of Colwyn Bay.
The crash involved a brown-coloured Peugeot Partner van.
Emergency services attended the scene, including the air ambulance, and the road was immediately closed.
A female passenger, who was in her 70s, was airlifted to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan with serious injuries, but died yesterday (July 4).
The coroner has been informed.
The male driver, also in his 70s, was taken to Glan Clwyd via ambulance, where he remains in a stable condition.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes, of North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“The investigation is underway, and I am requesting any witnesses or anybody who may have been travelling in the vicinity and who may have captured the vehicle’s movements on dash cam prior to the collision to come forward.
“I’d like to thank all those who have already made contact with us.”
