A MAN is to walk from Prestatyn to Llandudno dressed as a teddy bear in support of a military charity.
Richard Kendrick, dressed as Bearjamin the Fundraising Bear, will take on the walk tomorrow (June 29), to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
It is Richard’s fifth year of doing a walk in aid of military charity, with Scotty’s Little Soldiers specifically supporting children who have suffered the death of a parent while serving in the armed forces.
He will set off from Pendre Gardens in Prestatyn at 10am tomorrow, and make his way to Llandudno via the Nova centre and the town’s promenade.
Some of the money he raises from the walk will also go to supporting Rhyl Commandos JFC.
Richard will be carrying a bucket for donations as he completes the walk, for people passing by to make contributions if they so wish.
He will be joined by his stepson and his friend, who will be wearing Scotty’s Little Soldiers and Royal Marines t-shirts on the walk.
