Llandudno has been named in the top five places for dinning out with a dog, new data has revealed.

The list compiled by Canine Cottages was based on an analysis of Tripadvisor and Google reviews ranking the best canine culinary tourism spots.

37 per cent of dog owners have reported difficulty finding dog-friendly restaurants and cafes while on holiday.

Lake District town, Bowness-On-Windemere, ranked top with a score of 5.533 out of 6, followed by Bakewell in the Peak District (5.104).

North Wales' Llandudno came third with a score of 5.007, and they have a wide variety of 32 dog-friendly restaurants, along with several dog-friendly pubs and cafes.

The top five culinary destinations for dogs were rounded off by Stow-On-The Wold and Ramsgate.

Residents and vacationers in Llandudno can enjoy a great meal in the company of their canine companions at popular locations like the Kava Café and The King’s Head pub.

Llandudno is known for its beach walks, and stunning scenery, making it a popular spot for people with dogs.

Sarah Pring, digital PR manager at Canine Cottages, emphasised the importance of inclusive dining experiences 'for all family members, ' including the canine ones.
