Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has warned of a severe mobile signal crisis in Llandudno.
She is urging the Welsh Government to intervene following reports of strained networks affecting residents, and businesses in the area.
During her parliamentary address, Ms Finch-Saunders said: "The consequences of the overloading of masts in Llandudno are serious.
"Mobile payment machines are failing, leaving businesses unable to take payments; and residents and visitors cannot get hold of loved ones.
"Mobile service providers are informing residents and businesses that they need to wait until winter to have a reliable service restored.
"That just isn’t good enough."
She also added: "Llandudno needs 21st century technology, and the Welsh Government should work with the local authority, UK Government, and private sector to put a plan together for the community."
This call to action follows recent headlines blaming increased tourism for the mobile network's struggles.
