A RESIDENT was left with no choice but to clean Rhos-on-Sea paddling pool after litter was discarded in and around the pool.
Karrie Williams, from Colwyn Bay, arrived at the pool with her mother and daughter yesterday (June 6) to discover "a lot" of items including plastic gloves, sweet wrappers and tin cans at the site.
She and her mum took it upon themselves to clean up the mess as her daughter played.
Ms Williams warned residents that the pool needed to be kept tidy "or we may lose it".

Karrie said: "Me and mum just came to take the little one to the park and ended up cleaning the pool and around it.
"There was a lot of plastic gloves in the pool, sweet wrapper, tin cans, cans of pop and A4 paper in and around the pool area."
A green towel had also been left in the pool, which they left to dry.
Karrie added: "We need to keep this tidy or we may lose it."
Rhos-on-Sea paddling pool reopened on May 17, following a two-year wait for its return.
The local authority came under heavy criticism last year after it revealed that its paddling pools along the Conwy coast would not re-open for summer 2023 due to a high risk of people slipping.
