The global phenomenon, Jesus Christ Superstar, with Julian Clary as Herod, is coming to Venue Cymru for a weeklong run.
Timothy Sheader, known for Crazy for You and Into the Woods, directs the mesmerizing production.
Joining Clary in the role of Herod for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances, the line-up includes Ian McIntosh as Jesus, Shem Omari James as Judas, and Hannah Richardson as Mary.
The musical has its roots in rock music and is set during the final weeks of Jesus Christ's life.
Originally staged by London's Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, this revamped production earned the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
Choreographed by Drew McOnie, the score features music and lyrics by multi-award winners Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Previously this year, comedian Julian Clary, who will be playing Herod, expressed his excitement.
He said: "I’m still touring here and there with Jesus Christ Superstar, giving my Herod.
"I can’t get enough of the show and the talented cast.
"Very life-affirming."
The show has received high praise, with The Guardian calling it a "gorgeous, thrilling, heavenly musical."
Don’t miss out on this exceptional stage experience.
