A NINE-year-old girl has been chosen as Llandudno’s next “Miss Alice”.

Lilly Cottington won the title at an annual competition held on Saturday (June 1), which was open to all girls aged eight to 10 and living in any of the five wards of Llandudno.

The outgoing Miss Alice, Poppy Bowen-Roberts, congratulated Lilly on her appointment, and she was presented with a sash showing her title and a “Miss Alice” outfit.

Thanks were also expressed to Poppy for her year as Miss Alice.

Lilly enjoys singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.

Her role will include accompanying the mayor of Llandudno to civic engagements and, on occasion, undertaking visits out of the area to promote Llandudno and the “Miss Alice” connection.
