IN RESPONSE to the invasion of Rafah ,where many Palestinian families are sheltering, and the humanitarian crisis and famine in Gaza, members of Amnesty Colwyn Bay organised a further vigil for peace in Denbigh last Saturday (June 1).
They called for an immediate ceasefire on both sides, and an end to the Israeli system of apartheid against Palestinians.
Up to 40 people attended, and many passers-by joined to stand with them.
People signed a petition to the foreign secretary calling for the Government to support a ceasefire and end arms sales to Israel, and also wrote the names of the many children killed in the conflict on a banner.
