A WOMAN from Colwyn Bay is to be paid almost £20,000 by Conwy Brewery Ltd after she won a claim of unfair dismissal against the company.

Rebecca Taylor was found to have been unfairly dismissed by the company at an employment tribunal in Llandudno on April 25.

Conwy Brewery Ltd, based at Ty Mawr Enterprise Park in Colwyn Bay, was ordered to pay Ms Taylor, who represented herself at the hearing, a total of £19,566.52.

This is broken down into the following categories:

  • Loss of earnings to the date of the tribunal - £10,353.22.
  • Future loss of earnings - £3,960.00.
  • Failure to comply with the ACAS Code on Discipline and Grievance procedures - £3,703.00.
  • Basic award - £1,050.00.
  • Loss of statutory rights - £500.00.

Conwy Brewery Ltd and Ms Taylor were both approached for further comment.
