A SHOPLIFTER was stopped by an off-duty police officer after he walked out of a supermarket in Rhyl having not paid for three bottles of vodka.
The shoplifter had put the bottles in a bag, but was later located and detained by the officer.
North Wales Police added: “The off-duty Colwyn Bay officer located and detained the suspect and then handed them over to the local team in Rhyl.
“Although both off-duty and off-patch, the team in Colwyn Bay are always happy to assist in preventing and detecting crime.”
