A WOMAN has died following a search and rescue operation near Llandudno, police have confirmed.
North Wales Police were joined in the search by colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service as well as the RNLI and Coastguard rescue teams.
The services took part in the search in the early hours of this morning following reports that a woman was in the water.
Police have this afternoon confirmed that a 57-year-old woman has sadly died following the incident.
Detective Inspector Kris Williams said: "Our thoughts remain with the woman's family at this time, who we continue to support.
"The circumstances of the death are not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed."
